Another Snow White movie is winging it's way towards us. But to save audiences another sense of dega vu, the classic story will be getting a major reworking as a 19th century set martial arts film. Yes, you read that properly.
Originally set to be titled Snow and the Seven, all references to Snow White have been removed. Under the new title The Order of Seven, Irish actress Saoirse Ronan (Hanna) will play Olivia Sinclair, a British expat in 19th century Hong Kong who seeks the help of a centuries old group of warriors, now a jaded band of outlaws, when an evil empress threatens the land.
The film will mark the directorial debut of visual effects supervisor Michael Gracey, and is expected to start production in the Autumn.
