Deadline reports that Casey Affleck is poised to join Scott Cooper’s latest offering following his relatively impressive directorial debut Crazy Heart, which brought Jeff Bridges his long awaited Oscar.
His new project comes in the form of revenge thriller Out of the Furnace, produced by Ridley Scott’s Scott Free and Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way production companies.
Christian Bale is already attached to play the title role of a man released from prison, looking to get his life back on track, set to marry his sweetheart, when his brother (Affleck) is murdered. Then… Revenge.
There is no specific release date as yet, but the project is being put into production later this year, so an educated guess would be to say that it is due for release sometime in 2013.
