I’ve been lucky enough to see some of the 3D conversion of Titanic, and while I’m in now way a fan of 3D conversions, Titanic could well convert me. What I’ve seen is absolutely spectacular, and its quite apparent that a whole lot of love and care has gone into the conversion. And while the film isn’t exactly perfect, its still an outstanding movie in my book. I’m really looking forward to seeing it again on the big screen! Anyway, James Cameron and Jon Landau feature in the following video, giving some behind the scenes look at the conversion process and Cameron says he wanted the conversion to be the equivalent of what it should have looked like, if it were shot in 3D. I’ve always said if anyone can do 3D conversion right, its James Cameron.
