Peter Craig who co-wrote the screenplay for the highly rated The Town has been in talks to pen the script for the Top Gun sequel with Paramount Studios. While at times it has seemed unlikely there have been many rumours over the years regarding another instalment. After strong interest for 3D conversion of the 1986 classic for a theatre release and Cruises’ strong showing at the box office for Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol it seems it is only a matter of time. Cruise is said to have wanted a sequel for the movie for some time. Craig is a busy man at the moment as he is penning the third instalment of Bad Boys; incidentally he is the son of American darling Sally Field. How would you feel about Top Gun 2?
