With the countdown nearing its end for The Avengers to hit the big screen, a little piece of big info has drifted out that Ben Kingsley is in final talks to play the bad guy in Iron Man 3. And as one can imagine, what bad guy Kingsley would play (if the deal works out) is tightly under wraps. While he’s a fantastic actor, would some say he would be better as a supporting bad guy?
As for the story itself, again who knows. I’d expect Iron Man 3, will connect with The Avengers as will all the other Marvel properties. It doesn’t make sense that the movies including the Thor sequel would not be share some connections.
Shane Black is on directing duties and Robert Downey Jr. will return when the movie lands on May 3rd, 2013.
