Since the second trailer for the hotly anticipated conclusion to Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, Dark Knight Rises, hit the web, fans were left in awe at the sight of the demolition of an American Football stadium at the hands of Tom Hardy’s Bane.
The main tracking shot which is the centre-piece of, what will, undoubtedly, be one of the many cinematic set pieces of the film demonstrates the scale that Nolan is aiming for with his final Batman outing.
Typical with Nolan’s previous Batman films, a massive internet viral campaign began in earnest, the latest addition to which is the picture below; the weapon behind said cinematic set piece; a massive Wayne Enterprises fusion reactor. Quite how such a weapon of such apocalyptically destructive proportions comes into Bane’s possession is another matter which I presume will be explored in the film.
This film is going to be amazing.
Synopsis: Eight years after Batman took the fall for Two Face's crimes, a new terrorist leader, Bane, overwhelms Gotham's finest, and the Dark Knight resurfaces to protect a city that has branded him an enemy.
