The first image from Maleficent, Disney's untold story of the Sleeping Beauty villainess, which explains what drove her to the evil acts we see her commit in the classic cartoon, has hit showing off Angelina Jolie in the title role. She certainly looks the part.
The movie marks the directorial debut of Avatar production designer Robert Stromberg, and co-stars Sharlto Copely, Elle Fanning, Imelda Staunton, and Juno Temple. Production has begun, and it is set for a release date of March 14th 2014.
