Steve Pink (the dude who directed Hot Tub Time Machine) is in talks with Dimension films to direct Bad Santa 2. The original crashed through chimneys back in 2003 and was nothing but sheer hilarity and brilliance and featured a Billy Bob Thornton on top form. Since time travelling hot tubs, Steve Pink has been directing episodes of Hapy Endings and The Office.
Thornton is expected to return as the drunken, conman Santa and the movie is pencilled in for release next year with shooting planned for the Autumn of this year. Granted, Bad Santa 2 has taken its time returning to all us good little boys and girls. It was only in 2010 (7 years after its release) that a sequel was optioned. But, at least its on the way and thats a good thing.
