Jeff Wadlow's sequel to probably one of the best comic book adaptions of the last few year's, Kick-Ass, is gearing up to start shooting soon, and work has leaked that John Leguizamo (Moulin Rouge, Ice Age) has joined the cast. He will play Javier, bodyguard to Christopher Mintz-Plasse's bad guy Chris D'Amico, Red Mist in the original movie, but now going by the name The Motherf***er. He joins other returning cast members Chloe Grace Moretz, Aaron Johnson, and a rumored Nicholas Cage.
The film is said to adapt the Kick-Ass 2 comic, and it's prequel series Hit-Girl, currently on it's 2nd issue. Leguizamo has also being cast in Ridley Scott's The Councelor, alongside Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz, and Cameron Diaz.
