The verdict: Sleek, polished and intelligent. Not only that, but the technology is so out there that most of it has now been invented an used by millions on a daily basis.
BLADE RUNNER (1982)

The theme: What does it mean to be human?
The director: Ridley Scott
The verdict: Despite taking creative liberties, Ridley Scott delivers a stunning version of Dick’s original story and this particular future. Not only is it a great adaptation, but also a cinematic triumph.
PAYCHECK (2003)
The book: Paycheck (1952)
The theme: Remember the future
The director: John Woo
The verdict: With Ben Affleck not performing at his best, the film didn’t quite do justice to a critically acclaimed original short story.
