1984's Red Dawn is a cult classic, which see's the Soviet Union invading the United States with only a group of teenagers, including Charlie Sheen, Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Gray, offering any resistance. While a fun film, I never thought it was good enough to warrant a remake. But what do I know, because here we have the trailer for a new Red Dawn, which has Chris Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson leading resistance fighters, The Wolverines, against an invading North Korean army. It's looks o.k., the initial invasion scene is pretty cool, and there seems to be enough explosions to keep things interesting, but the whole affair seems to border on the cheesy side. Guess we'll see when this hits the big screen.
