The rumours of Jim Carrey joining the cast of Kick-Ass 2, as the Colonel, have been doing the rounds for a while now without any real confirmation. Now it seems we have got that confirmation thanks to the twitter feeds of director Jeff Wadlow and creator Mark Millar. First up the director offered this cryptic update:
6 days till we start shooting... and we officially have our Colonel. Alrighty f'n then!
Then Millar decided to drop some clues on the identity of the mystery actor:
clue- he lives with 200 raccoons and parrots, owns the mask of Loki and named by spielberg as a genius.
Anybody who knows their Carrey movies won't find these clues hard to decipher. While the genius comedy actor might indeed be lined up for the sequel (yay!), on the other hand this could all be misdirection of JJ Abrams-like proportions (boo!). Guess we'll find out when the role is officially announced.
