This is the best news I’ve got all day…at least in the movie world anyway. Seth MacFarlane will host the 85th Annual Academy Awards, which take place on Feb 24th, 2013. Being a huge family guy fan and just a general MacFarlane fan in general, this could be absolutely epic. One wonders though, how much of a leash will the family guy creator be on (if any) compared to something like the Golden Globes, where Ricky Gervais has rained fire and brimstone on seated celebs. Either way, the opening number on next years Oscars, should be Sethtacular! Speaking about MacFarlane getting the gig, producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said
