Dimension Films have officially announced that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be joining the cast of Sin City: A Dame To Kill For as one the main leads, Johnny. A cocky gambler on a mission to take down a hated enemy, fans of the comic book series will take note that he is a character that hasn't appeared before, his storyline created specially for the film. The sequel will follow the same format as the first film, with interconnecting stories weaved together, mixing in two stories from Frank Miller's classic series with new tales from the corrupt and repulsive inhabitants of Basin City.
Levitt joins returning cast members Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, and Jamie King, as well as other new additions Dennis Haysbert, taking on the role of Manute from the deceased Michael Clarke Duncan, and Jamie Chung, who replaces Devon Akoi as Miho. Miller and Robert Rodriguez return as co-director's, working from a script by Miller and The Departed scribe William Monahan.
