Following the announcement of Matt Smith joining the cast, Ryan Gosling's directorial debut, How To Catch A Monster, has filled another role, with Saoirse Ronan the latest name to attached to the dark fantasy tale, adding another high profile role to her already impressive c.v. Ronan joins Smith, Christina Hendricks, Eva Mendes, and Ben Mendelson. Nothing is know about the character she will play, or much of the story (written by Gosling), beyond that it is described as a modern fairy which finds Hendrick's playing Billy, a single mother trying to protect her children in a magical, dreamlike world.
Production is set to begin in May, with the film slated for a 2014 release date. Gosling's involvement already piqued my interest on this project. Now, with the impressive cast he has assembled, I am very excited to see what he has in store for us.
