Coming to the worlds attention with Pride, Predjuice And Zombies, and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, novelist Seth Grahame-Smithhas made the jump to Hollywood in recent years, penning Tim Burton's big screen adaption of Dark Shadows, as well as adapting his own novel for Timur Bekmembetov's Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. It looks he is staying in the movie business for a bit longer. He is attached to the long rumoured Beetlejuice sequel, and now it has just been announced he is being brought on board to give a polish to Jeremy Slater's script for the upcoming reboot of Fantastic Four.
The project is the first big budget movie for Chronicle director Josh Trank, who has said that he wants to approach it differently from the original films, aiming for a more 'grounded superhero and sci-fi' approach. It was recently announced that X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn has stepped in as producer, adding fuel to the rumour that Fantastic Four will crossover with X-Men sometime in the future. Marvel studio's slate of films has shown a continuity between their super hero movies is possible, so it is no surprise Fox, who own the rights to both franchises, would try their hand at it.
