No matter how much some people would wish he'd stop, John McClane is on his way back to the big screen. The sixth installment is currently in the writing stage with screenwriter Ben Trebilcook (writer of the currently in development videogame themed action movie Knockout) working on a treatment for the movie, tentatively titled Day Hardest (it was only a matter of time this title would be used). Nothing much is known about the project at this time, but it has been revealed that the story will start off in New York before relocating to Tokyo, where much of the action will take place.
I had a lot of fun with A Good Day To Die Hard, but it is time to let the franchise go. It has lost all of what made the first movies great, making John McClane less of the snarky everyman we know and love, and turning him into a generic indestructible action hero.
