Production is powering forward on Bryan Singer's return to the X-fold, X-Men: Days Of Future Past. While we knew Hugh Jackman would once again be returning as Wolverine (making him the only actor to appear in all the X-Men films), the director has confirmed it on Twitter with this picture of Jackman on set, accompanied by the word. well, the back of his head anyway.
Fans of the comic will instantly recognise the jacket as very similar to the one Wolverine wore in the classic storyline on which the movie is based, which sees a lone mutant sent to the past to stop a dark future from coming to be. It is expected Wolverine will play a big part in the future sequences (which also see Halle Berry, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, and more cast from the original movies return), but there is no word on if this will tie into the upcoming The Wolverine (released on the 26th of July) which is set after X-Men: The Last Stand, grounding it firmly in the X-Men universe's present. Fox have stated to want to tie all their X-Men movies together, much like what Marvel Studios are doing, so I wouldn't be surprised if The Wolverine drops hints towards Days Of Future Past.
