When a movie gets an R rating for intensity, instead of the usual sex, violence, language, or drug use, you should really take notice of it. That is exactly what has happened with James Wan's (Saw, Insidious) The Conjuring. Starring Patrick Wilson (re-teaming with Wan after Insidious) and Vera Famiga, it tells the story of paranormal investigator's Ed and Lorraine Warren, and theri investigation of strange goings on in a New England farmhouse. The new trailer, released by Warner Bros., is absolutely fantastic, building up the sense of unease nicely, and packing in some good scares. With Insidious and Sinister, the horror genre has being slowly clawing it's way from the days when hyper violent sequels and ill advised remakes were the best it could offer. With The Conjuring, that rise is set to continue.
