Writer / Producer Ben Trebilcook, recently associated to the sixth installment of the Die Hard franchise, tweeted this picture with the words: What's in your morning newspaper?
It's a strong indication to fan-rumour that the 'Die Hardest' plot will involve Bruce Willis' character John McClane traveling to Tokyo, Japan where he will receive a commendation for his efforts in saving 36 lives in the Nakatomi hostage crisis. As the mocked up newspaper headline says, a '30 Year Commendation' would mean the film takes place in 2018 and not previously reported as 2015, seeing that the original Die Hard events occurred in 1988.
Another picture tweeted by Trebilcook had a samurai sword which one eagle-eyed Follower, from Japan, analyzed as possible clue to a fellow cast member. The sword, a katana, had Japanese characters down the blade spelling the name 'Zeus' Could this mean 'Zeus Carver', played by Samuel L Jackson from Die Hard With A Vengeance?
Despite no official statement from Fox and that IMDB no longer has Trebilcook listed as the Screenwriter, he does seem to be the current fan-favourite and the story rests well amongst them, too.' Time will tell if anything else surfaces soon. You can check out more Tweets from Ben Trebilcook via Twitter.com/BenTrebilcook
