Okay, I absolutely love the original The Crow. It's one of my all time favorite movies, and one of the few (or probably only) films I will go full Fanboy beligerent over. I don't want a remake, and I don't think one should be even attempted. I went on a little mini rant about this before, so I'll keep it brief.
Luke Evans, next to seen as the villain in Fast and Furious 6, has been cast as hero Eric Draven in the remake, coming from director F. Javier Gutiérrez (Before The Fall). His casting comes after James McAvoy, Tom Hiddleston, and Alexander Skarsgard were all attached, and he was actually the director's first choice for the role, but couldn't commit due to other roles, which included appearing as Bard the Bowman in The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug. The start date to begin production on the movie has been pushed back to accomadate Evan's busy schedule.
