With Iron Man 3 currently wowing audiences and breaking all sorts of records, director Shane Black has already lined up his next film, with Sony Pictures announcing he direct and co-write the film adaption of Doc Savage, a character made popular in 30's and 40's through a series of pulp novels, and later film, comic books, television and radio. The character is a literal superman, a researcher, scientist, explorer, inventor, and physician, who uses his outstanding strength, photographic memory, and vast knowledge and intelligence to thwart crimes and punish evil. He was a big influence on other characters, such as Batman and Superman (Superman's Fortress Of Solitude in the Artic was borrowed from Doc Savage). Black will co-write the movie with Charles Mondry and Anthony Bagarozzi.
