Considering the success of Skyfall (first James Bond movie to make a billion dollars worldwide), producers Micheal G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli were adament to have director Sam Mendes return for the 24th installment in the uber-popular franchise. Mendes seemed to put paid to those plans, when he announced in March he wouldn't return, instead choosing to focus on theatre work. But now it seems he has done a 180, with the director unofficially confirmed to be on board. What's more, it is suggested he will also direct the 25th installment, putting some fuel to the rumour that 24 and 25 would form a two-parter of sorts.
Bond 24 is due to released in the next three years, with 2016 now being the likely release date. Daniel Craig is the only confirmed name signed up so far, having comitted to playing the sauve super spy till the 25th installment. Mendes' return is up in the air at the moment, I would take this news with a grain of salt till an official announcement.
