Off the back of Oscar wins for The Fighter and Silver Linings Playbook, director David O. Russell is back behind the camera again with American Hustle, which reunites him with stars from his previous two movies, namely Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper, Robert DeNiro, and Jennifer Lawrence. A fictionalised account of a 1978 FBI sting operation, Bale stars as Irving Rosenfeld, a con man who is forced by Cooper's FBI agent into helping him catch out other cons, mobsters and corrupt politicians.
