Fresh from the Fox panel at Comic-Con, the first official image from Matt Reeves' Planet of the Apes sequel has been released, featuring Andy Serkis's Ceaser and friends getting ready for battle. Aesome is apt way to sum it up.

Contiuing the story began in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, ten years have passed, and humanity has been devastated by a mysterious virus. A fragile peace between the surviving humans and Ceaser's growing nation of genetically evolved apes is soon threatened as both sides are brought to the brink of war to determine who is the dominant species on the planet. Joining Srkis in the motion capture suits as apes are Judy Greer and RocknRolla's Toby Kebbell, while Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Jason Clarke, and Kodi Smit-McPhee play some of the human survivors.
