The Expendables 3 begins shooting in L.A. next month, which means the final touches are being done to the casting of the Patrick Hughes third installment. While we still have to hear confirmation on the involvement of Jackie Chan, Nicolas Cage, Wesley Snipes, and Milla Jonovich (they are still in "advanced negotiations"), The Wrap is reporting that Twilight's Kellan Lutz is in talks for an unspecified role, though I would assume it would be as a member of the younger, more tech savvy group of mercenaries that are rumoured to mix it up with our favorite group of aging action heroes.
Sylvester Stallone took to his twitter feed to announce more casting news, with mixed martial artist Ronda Rousey, who won a bronze medal in Judo at the 1998 Olympic games, and former WBC Welterweight champion boxer Victor Ortiz making their acting debuts. It seems this could be Gina Carano type casting, with their psychical skills being more important than their acting.
