There is not much on show in this brief teaser for The Frozen Ground, but what there is promises something quite stark and tense. The debut feature from writer/director Scott Walker and based on real life events, it stars John Cusack as notorious serial killer Robert C. Hansen, who, for over 12 years, used the town of Anchorage, Alaska as the backdrop for the brutal killings of 17 young women. When young prostitute Cindy Paulson (Vanessa Hudgens) escapes his clutches, she teams up with U.S. state trooper Jack Halcombe (Nicolas Cage) to bring Hansen to justice. Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson rounds out the cast.
I love how dark this trailer paints the movie, promising something we haven't seen from these actors in a while, especially Cusack who looks on fine, menacing form.
