With production already begun, Christopher Nolan's Interstellar, released November 7th 2014, is a getting a late comer to the cast, with Matt Damon joining the film in a "small, undisclosed role". Damon joins Matthew McConaughey, Anna Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Jon Lithgow, Topher Grace, Mackenzie Foy, and Michael Caine in the closely guarded movie, which see's Nolan tackle space travel and wormholes.
But that's not all in the world of Damon, with the actor lining up The Foreigner as his directorial debut. Based on a 2008 New Yorker article, A Murder Foretold, the film follows the events that transpire after a videotape implicates the Guatemalan president, his wife, and several aides in connection to the murder of wealthy businessman Rodrigo Rosenberg. This will be Damon's second stab at directing, after he had to drop out of the role for Promised Land due to working on Elysium.
