Having already brought a host of fairy tale characters to life with their own movies, Disney are tackling a mash-up of various fairy tales with Into the Woods. Based on the Broadway musical of the same name, the Rob Marshall (Chicago) directed film comes off like a fairy tale Avengers, the plot revolves around a couple (James Corden and Emily Blunt), who, in an attempt to lift a family curse, venture into a mysterious woods where they meet a whole host of fairy characters, including Cinderella (Anna Kendrick) and her Prince (Chris Pine), Rapunzel (Mackenzie Mauzy), Jack (Danile Huttlestone), Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford), and The Wolf (Johnny Depp).
Filming has only just begun in the U.K., and Disney have shared with us the first image from the movie, with Meryl Streep in full hag make up as The Witch.
