The first trailer for Matt Reeve's Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has finally hit, and while it doesn't give much away, it does a good job of establishing the new status quo of the sequel, a post apocalyptic scenario a million miles away from the first movie, Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Andy Serkis' Casear doesn't make an appearance till the closing seconds of the trailer, but it does show off the fantatsic effects work showcased in the original. Check it out for yourself below.
Synopsis: A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
