It's been a while since we have had a good ol' Star Wars: Episode VII casting rumour, so here's one with a decidedly Irish flavour. Irish actor Jack Reynor, who will be next seen in Transformers: Age of Extinction, seems to be trading one mega franchise for another, with rumours he is wanted for an unspecified role in JJ Abrams return to a galaxy far, far away. Reynor first came to the worlds notice with What Richard Did in 2012, so from Lenny Abramson, to Michael Bay and possibly JJ Abrams in two short years? That is not bad at all.
Reynor is not the first Irish actor to be linked to the project, with Saorise Ronan revealing last year she attended auditions for a role that she sadly didn't get. This latest rumour comes courtesy of Harry Knowles of Ain't It Cool News, who has Sylvester Stallone and Guillermo Del Toro in his Rolodex (do people even have Rolodex's anymore?) and has been right with some of his scoops in the past. Rumours like these have been common place with the project been totally shrouded in secrecy, but with shooting set to begin in May, we should be finally getting concrete details very soon.
Star Wars: Episode VII is set for release on December 18th 2015
