It's been 21 years since Robin Williams donned a latex mask and a wig to play Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire, and it looks like he'll be back for some more cross dressing shenanigans, with Mrs. Doubtfire 2 going into development at Fox 2000. It's early days on the project, but both Williams and original director Chris Columbus have both signed on. Nothing is known about the story, but Elf scribe David Berenbaum has been brought to write the script.
This isn't the first time a Mrs. Doubtfire sequel has been on the cards, with Bonnie Hunt tapped to write the script in 2001, but that version was scrapped due to inactivity.
