After nine years waiting for it, it seems Sin City: A Dame to Kill For hasn't found its audience in America, with the long awaited sequel making just an estimated $6.5 million at the U.S. box office. The movie opens today on this side of the pond so hopefully the Europeans will be much kinder to it, but it is expected the sequel will make no where close to the originals $158 million worldwide gross. Considering how many people were chomping at the bit to see a sequel since the original was released, this comes as a surprise. I didn't think it would match the original, but never even imagined it would do this badly. Could it be the sequel is nine years too late, and we are now over Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller's hyper-stylised noir vision? Sound off below with your thoughts.
