With cameras expected to start rolling in April, Bryan Singer has revealed, via Twitter, that three new faces, playing some very familiar characters, will be joining the cast of X-Men: Apocalypse, said to cap off the trilogy began with X-Men: First Class, and continued with X-Men: Days of Future Past. Alexandria Shipp (best known for playing Alliyah in a recent made for t.v. biopic of the R&B star), Tye Sheridan (Mud, The Tree of Life, and Joe), and Sophie Turner (who will know as Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones) will be playing young Storm, Cyclops, and Jean Grey respectively, as the sequel travels to the 80's to explore the new timeline brought on by the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past. The trio will join returning stars Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult, as well as fellow new comer Oscar Issac, as the titular villain.
X-Men: Apocalypse is set for release May 27th 2016.
