Following our first, teasing look at the long awaited comic book adaption yesterday, The Hollywood Reporter is......reporting that MMA fighter turned actress Gina Carano will be joining the cast of X-Men sin-off Deadpool. Carano will be starring opposite Ryan Reynolds, as the titular fast healing assassin, and T.J. Miller's undisclosed comedy relief role as Angel Dust, a member of an underground dwelling band of mutants who call themselves Morlocks, who can elevate her adrenaline levels to give herself super strength. No doubt, given Carano's background she will take centre stage in some hard hitting fight scenes.
Also, the trade confirms that long standing X-Men member Colossus will be making an appearance, though it is unconfirmed that actor Daniel Cudmore will be reprising the role. But considering he was brought back for last years X-Men: Days of Future Past after last playing the role in X-Men: The Last Stand in 2006, it could be a safe bet to assume he will.
