Following his award-winning horror debut Citadel in 2013, it was only a matter of time before Hollywood noticed the talents of Irish film director Ciaran Foy. With an eye for the dark corners of the psyche, Foy is an excellent choice to helm Sinister 2 and we are very excited to see what he brings. If these first stills are anything to go by, the Dublin native has created another creepy, atmospheric chiller, complete with scary kids.
Following the horrific deaths of the Oswalt family, Deputy So & So (James Ransone) is fired from the police force for his involvement in the case. As he continues to investigate the mysterious circumstances surrounding the Oswalt deaths, So & So discovers a link to previous similar murders; the presence of the malevolent demon Bughuul.
His investigation leads him to single mother Courtney (Shannyn Sossamon) and her twin boys Zach and Dylan. The family have recently moved into a secluded church – unbeknownst to them, the site of a previous massacre - to escape their abusive father. As So & So looks into the previous murders, Bughuul and his ghostly victims begin manipulating Zach with a series of chilling “kill films”. So & So must work out how to stop Baghuul, before the family he has come to care about end up as victims in the demon’s chain of death.
