Alongside Star Wars and Pirates of the Caribbean, Jon Favreau’s The Jungle Book took to the stage at D23 this weekend, and according to pretty much everybody it brought the house down. While the public at large are still waiting to see anything from the live action adaption of Ruyard Kipling’s beloved story, our first look at the project comes in the form of this pretty striking poster, featuring Mowgli (Neel Sethi) and his panther friend Bagheera (voiced by Ben Kingsley). I’m also certain that Kaa, the villainous snake with the voice of Scarlett Johansson, is in there too. As posters go, it does a great job of letting get a feel for Favreau’s take on the story.
The Jungle Book is set for release April 15th 2016.
