Keaton's career began with a bang nearly 45 years ago when cast by Woody Allen in a play that marked the beginning of a long and successful relationship. She gained huge applaud for her starring role in the 1977 debatably biographic “Annie Hall,” while carving out a distinctive style of oversized men’s shirts, bowler hats and flamboyant neuroses. Though Keaton still has her quirky mannerisms and androgynous style, she's also tackled a versatile set of roles that that have garnered her numerous film awards, including an Oscar and two Golden Globes. Sleeper (1973)
The following year Keaton reunited with writer/director Woody Allen in a futuristic comedy about a health food store owner (Allen) who’s cryogenically frozen after dying during a gall bladder operation. Thawed out 200 years later, he becomes an unlikely leader in a resistance movement and falls in love with the woman who briefly thought he was a robot (Keaton). This visual feast of a film demonstrates the dynamic rapport between Allen and Keaton beautifully.
Annie Hall (1977)
Keaton’s turn as the title character in this Woody Allen classic earned her a Best Actress Oscar and heaps of critical praises for a performance of a character that went on to form the template for countless quirky-but-lovable leading ladies in subsequent rom-coms. This popular movie is a truly hilarious take on relationships and neuroses.
Father of the Bride (1991)
George Banks (Steve Martin) and his wife, Nina (Diane Keaton), are the proud parents of Annie (Kimberly Williams), but when she returns from studying abroad and announces that she's engaged, their whole world turns upside down, especially that of overprotective George. The preparations for the extravagant wedding provide additional comic moments in this update of the classic Spencer Tracy comedy.
First Wives Club (1996)

Something’s Gotta Give (2003)
Diane Keaton plays a successful playwright who finds herself nursing perennial bachelor Harry Sanborn (Nicholson) back to health after he experiences heart problems while on a romantic getaway with her daughter. Harry normally goes for younger women but soon finds himself strangely attracted to someone closer to his own age. What could have been a typical romantic comedy excels on the strength of Keaton and Jack Nicholson's electric chemistry.
