Star Wars The Force Awakens continues its demolition of the box office. Domestically in the States, The Force Awakens is about so scream past Avatar, possibly even by the time you read this. Currently Avatar sits at $760 Million and TFA has $758.2 in the bank. Once it zooms past James Cameron's 3D epic, the movie will the number one movie of all time in the US.
From the International side of things there is a healthy $799 million and with the movie opening in China on January 9th this is going to grow a lot more. Worldwide, J.J. Abrams space opera is sitting on over $1.5 billion. Whether or not there's enough fuel in the tank to demolish Avatar's global haul of $2.7 billion remains to be seen. Time to take the compressor off!!!
