The Woman in Black director James Watkins is trading in horror for action with Bastille Day, with Idris Elba and Richard Madden (better known as Game of Throne’s Robb Stark) as a mismatched (aren’t they always?) CIA agent and pickpocket who uncover a conspiracy that sends them on an action packed thrill ride across Paris.
Let’s put aside that the leads are affecting odd American accents (especially when you consider they are two British actor in a British production), Elba leading his own action thriller is one hell of a prospect, and he and Madden make for a fun and charming central pairing.
