UPDATE 25th May - It is indeed Joonas Suotamo. Twitter user Fiona Cooke got her picture with him (on the right) and another equally tall actor (not sure who he is)
UPDATE - We've got some added video of Chewie's visit below. And no, we don't know what the kids are saying either ;)
Some young Star Wars fans got the surprise of their lives when Chewbacca walked into their class room. Chewie came from the Ceann Sibeal set proving that without doubt, the big walking carpet is indeed in town. Looking at the gif below however, it's highly unlikely that it is indeed Peter Mayhew, instead, I reckon it's Joonas Suotamo who was Chewie's double in Episode VII. Mayhew has difficulty with his knees these days, and given how agile Chewie is, picking up kids and what not, it's Suotamo.
Regardless, what an epic surprise for the kids. 2 of which are huge Star Wars fans, who sent pictures and letters to the crew, which resulted in the visit. Wonder will Chewie visit The Movie Bit HQ.
Everyone loves a talk story... Mags met these 2 Star Wars extras in our pub in Dingle, they ARE Chewbacca!!#Ras2016 pic.twitter.com/Tv3yGqnzzb— Fiona Cooke (@fi_cooke) May 24, 2016
