With shooting currently taking place in Cuba, details of F. Gary Gray’s (Straight Outta Compton) highly anticipated Fast & Furious 8 have started to drop, mainly focusing on the new cast members. Scott Eastwood, son of Clint, will be joining the high octane insanity as protege to Kurt Russell’s government agent, Mr. Nobody, but the addition we’re most excited about is Charlize Theron’s big bad, Cipher. Any more information is thin on the ground, but Universal Pictures have released the first image of Cipher, showing she has a shared love of Metallica and high calibre weaponry. I wouldn’t have thought they could top Jason Statham’s near invincible Deckard Shaw, but Theron could seriously give him a run for his money.
While next to nothing is known about the plot of Fast & Furious 8, the fact that each instalment has gone from strength to strength over the last few years has us eagerly awaiting the April 14th 2017 release date.
