Yesterday, was of course May the 4th, Star Wars day, and of all the crazy things to celebrate everything from a galaxy far, far away, this one wins EVERYTHING. Teaming up with Lin-Manuel Mirnada, mastermind behind the smash hit broad way show Hamilton, Abrams gave fans waiting outside the musical’s home at the Richard Rodgers theater a performance of the song that Miranda composed for the Maz’s cantina scene in The Force Awakens. Composed and performed entirely in Huttese, Miranda described the song as a “shaggy intergalactic mix”, and you can hear it for yourself below.
