Well before the film hit cinemas, Warner Bros. announced an R-Rated, extended cut of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on Blu-Ray that would add thirty minutes of extra footage, bringing the movie’s running time to over the three hour mark. We’ve already gotten a taste of what the Ultimate Edition has to offer with a short scene that may or may not reveal the Justice League villain, and Zach Snyder has said we’ll meet Jena Malone’s Barbara Gordon. But what else does it hold for us? Well, a trailer for the home release has come our way, giving us a glimpse of what is on offer.
Barbara’s there. As are more shots of The Russian, and further adventures in the Wayne family crypt. A lot of it seems to further hammer home the differences between Batman and Superman, teasing some more character beats. Time will tell if it does offer something to the movie more than just more movie.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition will make its digital debut on June 28th, before coming to Blu-Ray and DVD on July 19th.
