Continuing his run of live action movies post-his fascination with motion capture, Robert Zemeckis is heading to World War II with his latest movie, Allied, bringing Bard Pitt and Marion Cotillard along for the ride as an intelligence officer and French resistance fighter whose relationship is put under pressure by the war raging around them. The first, brief look at the film has come our way, and there is a lot to like about what is on offer here. A director of Zemeckis’ caliber working with two impeccable actors like Pitt and Cotillard is certainly an exciting prospect, and this WWII romance/spy thriller should live up to their respective talents.
