We’re just over two months out from Justin Kurzel’s suitably parkour heavy Assassin’s Creed from hitting the big screen, and a new trailer has come or way keeping the flame of hope for a decent video game to movie adaption alive with plenty of gorgeous visuals and hard hitting action. Even those fans of games who bitched about the new look of the Animus (the machine Michael Fassbender’s Callum Lynch uses to access the memories of his 15th century ancestor) have got to admit it makes for some visually arresting fighting sequences, the past bleeding into the present beautifully. The trailer is also a lot more story heavy this time round, which should do well to ease those on the fence into what is actually a pretty deep mythology for a game where the most fun is found jumping off the tallest building you can find.
