Coming from Pixar animators Andrew Coats and Lou Harmou-Lhadj, Borrowed Time is a definitely one animated short you don’t want to be watching with your kids. A bleak, emotionally charged tale of personal tragedy told against a Wild West backdrop, it is a sumptuous, moving short that once again hammers home that not all animation is for children, and given the right talent, it’s a medium that can be used to pull off intimate, absolutely devastating storytelling.
