While Hugh Jackman is bowing out of the X-Men universe with Logan, a new, fast healing clawed mutant will be introduced to the X-Men universe in the form of Dafne Keen’s Laura, also known as X-23, a lab created mutant clone of Wolverine. While we’ve only seen glimpse of her in the movie’s trailers, a new video has come online which sheds light on Laura’s creation, and boy is it incredibly dark and creepy. So, of course, I love it. This seems to be pretty in line with the tone of the movie we’ve been teased so far, and I can’t wait to see director James Mangold’s take on the fan favourite comic book character.
