We didn’t know it at the time, but 2014’s Godzilla reboot was the first step on the road to getting a battle between two classic movie monsters with Godzilla vs. Kong set for release in 2020. Before we get to that though, we have to meet the new King Kong with Kong: Skull Island, and a new clip has come our, courtesy of Yahoo!, that sheds some light on the Godzilla connection with John Goodman’s Bill Randa name dropping Monarch, the secret organisation that was tracking the King of Monsters in the Gareth Edwards’ reboot. He goes on to mention MUTO’s, a classification given to gigantic monsters that wreck shop on a regular basis, firmly placing this in the same universe as Godzilla, and setting the stage for more monster sized mayhem, with 2019’s Godzilla: King of Monsters and the highly anticipated meeting of these two titanic beasts.
Released: 10th March
