The biggest take away from the first Ghost in the Shell trailer was how stunning the movie looked, especially the promo’s biggest showcase, the robotic Geishas. It won’t be a surprise to anybody that these visuals were brought to us by Weta Digital, the New Zealand based workshop most famous for bringing Peter Jackson’s Middle-Earth to life. Courtesy of the Internet’s most famous nerd, Adam Savage, a new video has come our way that takes up deep into Weta’s workshop and gives us, in intricate detail, a behind the scenes look at the practicals effects used to bring the Geisha’s to life. It’s pretty spectacular, and if you’re a Ghost in the Shell fan, or just a fan of visual effects in general, you’ll want to see this.
